Artist's Comments

This is getting pathetic and I know it, okay? Patrick Wolf, reference used from his "Winds in the Wires" album cover.
I'm probably going to send this to him but I'm not sure. I might just as well tear it to shreds.

Pencil, Watercolors, Acrylics. AND THIS IS FINISHED BECAUSE I SAY SO.

Re-uploaded because it wasn't even showing in my gallery page.... and it's still not showing... devArt hates me

edit: I _knew_ that noone was going to look at it. I just submitted it to make myself feel even more inferior. Hooray for me.

Beautiful! I love the contrast of colours vs. the black and white. Also, the acrylic paint you added in there gives the painting more texture. Very unique! I love the way you did this. Amazing work. <3

Well I love this, you know. Seriously! You're completely underestimating your art. You're SOOO amazing, so don't put yourself down so much! :heart:

The colors in this are just so pleasing. :D I love all of the different medias you used too. I like how some of the colors are opaque, where the other ones are transparent. It gives it a really cool, layered look. I also love how you drew him in pencil. The soft shading against the bold colors of the background make him look so pretty and serene. He's got a very cute nose! :heart: I love how the area to the right of him is black...it adds such a great contrast.

Deviant art is being stupid (again). It took a few hours for a deviation I submitted to show up in my page...so don't worry too much about that. XD

And! I definitely think you should send it to him. I'm sure he'd love it, because really...who wouldn't? :D But whatever you do, DON'T tear it to shreds!

I hope you feel better about your art soon! I know what its like...and its not fun. So I'm wishing you feel better soon! :glomp:

Thank you~~~~~~ You really know how to cheer me up! :cling:

I'm so happy you like the pencil sketch- I'm bad at realism, but I think this worked out ok for once ^^; I love his nose as well ^^ I like faces with interesting noses :D

Yeah, I found out that it happened to several people ^^; But yesterday I had the feeling that deviantArt was just trying to deliberately piss me off... I'm just too egocentric.

I'm still not sure... well, at least I like it enough to keep it again ^^; But I don't know whether to send it to him or not... I've never written fan mail before, I wouldn't even know what to say ^^;

I think it's better already... I've been pretty uncomfortable with myself and my art since a week ago, with many ups and downs and moodswings and such..... But now I'm either hitting another "up" or it's over (already?). Thank you so much! :smooch:
